St Leger win again

December 2011

John Gosden was able to celebrate back to back St Leger victories when Masked Marvel emulated the achievement of Arctic Cosmos and stormed away with this years race.

Brown Panther

December 2011

Tom Dascombe's Brown Panther capped a fine season with 2nd place in the St Leger running on gamely in the closing stages behind Masked Marvel.

James Given:- Indian Days

December 2011

James Given's Indian Days who had won the John Porter Stakes in April, won Turkey's International Bosphorus Cup for the second year running, when gamely heading Campanologist in the last strides of a thrilling race.

Snow Fairy

December 2011

Snow Fairy won the Queen Elizabeth the Second Commemorative Cup in Japan for the second successive year. This rounded off an excellent year for Ed Dunlop's filly after being placed in four Group ones during the year, including a gallant third in the Arc.

V Dartnall:- Giles Cross

December 2011

Victor Dartnall's Giles Cross ran his heart out when attempting to win the Welsh Grand National. This gallant horse had finished 2nd in the previous running of this race in January, and again had to settle for 2nd after another scintillating performance.
