Charitable Donations

Donations 2011

So far this year we have raised £500.00 with the east Midlands Driving Trials Group and sent it to Rainbows, a local hospice for children in Loughborough, Leics.

During the summer we always host various events here at Manor Farm.

This year The Midlands Driving Trials had their annual event and we raised £500.00 for a local charity Cara Lou’s Light for Life which will go towards a trip to Disneyland for Cara Lou who has a tumor which affects her sight.

Also the Quorn Pony Club held their annual junior camp and one day event from which a massive £1143.89p was raised for The Emile Faurie Foundation.

Founded in 2006 by one of the UK’s leading equine sportsmen, Emile Faurie, The Emile Faurie Foundation is a unique collaboration of schools, riding establishments and fundraisers whose aim is to help as many children as possible experience the joys and benefits of horsemanship.

The charity offers courses of lessons to youngsters for whom riding may not otherwise be within reach either because of location, resources or family support.

These courses teach more than just riding; they develop life skills such as self-confidence, responsibility and discipline and can have a positive impact on academic performance too. This is funded entirely by voluntary contributions.
